Peter Pan: A Musical Adventure

Peter Pan is a musical based on the original children’s book by J.M.Barrie, with music by George Stiles, lyrics by Anthony Drewe and book by Willis Hall.

The show first opened in Copenhagen and won ‘Best Song’ (When I Kill Peter Pan) and the Orchestra Award at the International Musical Of The Year awards in 1996.

A one-off performance took place in 2001 at the Royal Festival Hall, starring John Thaw as Captain Hook, Joe MacFaddden as Peter Pan, Jenna Russell as Mrs Darling, and Sheila Hancock as the Storyteller, and accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra, and broadcast by the BBC on New Year’s Eve.

The first full production of the show was in 2007 at the Birmingham Rep Theatre and the show has also played in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Canada. The cast of the 2008 Christmas production at the West Yorkshire Playhouse perform on the cast recording.
