“The Sparkling Diamond” is from the stage musical version of Moulin Rouge!. The show follows the story of Christian, a young composer, who falls in love with Satine, the star of the Moulin Rouge, who is introduced during this song. The Sparkling Diamond is a mash-up and adaptation of five hit songs spanning several decades – Diamonds Are Forever (the Bond theme by John Barry), Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend (the jazz standard by Jule Styne and Leo Robin), Material Girl (made famous by Madonna), Single Ladies (Beyonce’s hit) and Diamonds (Rhianna’s number one, penned by Sia).

This backing track is based on the 2019 Original Broadway Cast Recording, as performed by Karen Olivo and the Original Broadway Cast.
