Everlasting – Tuck Everlasting – Backing Track
Based upon the American children’s novel by Natalie Babbitt, with music by Chris Miller, lyrics by Nathan Tysen and a book by Claudia Shear and Tim Federle, Tuck Everlasting tells the story of a girl called Winnie who runs away from home looking for a life of adventure. She meets the Tuck family in the forest and finds more adventure with them than she could have imagined. ‘Everlasting’ is performed by Winnie towards the end of the show, when she parts ways with the Tuck family and is gifted a vial of the magical water from their spring which makes drinkers immortal, and Winnie contemplates what immortality would be like.

Greased Lightnin’

Greased Lightnin’ – Grease (Backing Track)
Based on the Original London Cast Recording from 1993, this song has been an integral and popular part of the musical since it’s 1972 incarnation. Kenickie brags to the T-Birds (originally the ‘Burger Palace Boys’) about the used car that he is doing up to race, and they help him imagine the dream-machine that it could become.

We Know Better

“We Know Better” is a song which didn’t make the final cut of the hit Disney film Frozen, but the first half of the song was included as a demo on the deluxe edition of the Original Soundtrack, performed by writers Robert Lopez & Kristen Anderson-Lopez and their own children. The song is described by Kristen as “a song for two rebellious princesses”, where Elsa & Anna sing about the difference between what people expect princesses to be like, compared to the reality which they know better.

Please note, this track is based on the recording from the Froxen Deluxe Edition Soundtrack which is an unfinished demo and as such, ends with a fade-out.

I Can’t Be Bothered Now

I Can’t Be Bothered Now – Backing Track
“I Can’t Be Bothered Now” is a song originally written by George & Ira Gershwin for the 1937 film A Damsel In Distress, performed by Fred Astaire. Much later it was included in the 1992 musical Crazy For You, which was primarily based on the duo’s 1930’s show Girl Crazy, with the addition of several other songs from their catalogue. It is sung by Bobby, as he imagines himself performing with the Follies girls, whilst his fiancee and mother argue over his attentions.

This backing track is based on the Crazy For You Original London Cast Recording 1993.

“On My Way” is the second song from the Heart of Winter – a new one-woman song cycle with music and lyrics by Tim Connor. The song tells of the determination of Kate to move on with her life after finding out her boyfriend Adam has been cheating on her, and yet also betrays the anger and sadness she is still wrestling with. A great character song with some good belting sections for mezzos.
