“Journey To The Heaviside Layer” – Cats – Backing Track
“Journey To The Heaviside Layer” is the penultimate song of the musical CATS, composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and based on the poems from Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats by T.S. Eliot. The show tells about the lives of a tribe of cats called the Jellicles, who once a year choose one of their number to ascend to the ‘Heaviside Layer’ and be reborn into a new life. Journey To The Heaviside Layer is a moving song where the Jellicle Cats, led by Old Deuteronomy, send ageing glamour cat Grizabella off to the Heaviside Layer to be reborn.
